Rugby

Orewa College offers all grades of rugby.  The grades/ weights this year are as follows.

1st/ 2nd / 3rd and Girls under 19 open weight
4th grade: under 17 and under 70kg
5th grade: under 15 open weight
6th grade: under 15 and under 63kg
7th grade: under 15 and under 52kg

Weigh in and registration will be during March  All players must be registered and weighed in by a North Harbour official.

Ages are taken as of the 1st Jan 2011.

Fees are $75 per person.  This money covers the costs of maintaining and cleaning the jerseys, teas and equipment, plus an affiliation fee to North Harbour.  All players must provide their own mouthguard, shorts and socks (purchase through Sports Department / Accounts).  Jerseys are provided.   Fees are payable at Accounts.

All players are expected to bring a suitable plate to the aftermatch function to share with opposition.

If you are interested in coaching, managing or helping on the committee in terms of fundraising, planning etc please contact the school. 

Where appropriate, trials will be run to decide selection, otherwise it comes down to the discretion of the Coach, based on training and ability.

Weigh In 2012

Officials will be at school on Tuesday 13 March for weigh-in.  Please come to Gym 2 at 3.15pm.
